Safety
Below, please read the precautions we are taking
to make this dance season a time of peace, fun, and joy
for all who join.
TAKE YOUR CHILD’S TEMPERATURE
Parents will take their child’s temperature at home before leaving for dance on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Any student who has a temperature at or above 100 degrees, or who has not been fever-free for more than 24 hours, or who is experiencing a persistent cough or other respiratory symptoms will need to stay home.
STAY HOME IF YOU’VE BEEN AROUND SOMEONE WITH COVID-19
If your family has been in contact with someone with COVID-19, you will need to stay home and self-isolate for 5 days followed by 5 days of wearing a mask.
THE STUDIO WILL BE CLEANED REGULARLY
Cleaning will be done before the beginning of classes each day. This cleaning will include wipe downs of tables, chairs, doorknobs, and any shared equipment.
LET’S WASH OUR HANDS
Parents need to remind their children to wash their hands or use hand sanitizer before and after every class. Parents may provide personal hand sanitizer of their choice for their children to bring, or students may use the sanitizer provided at the studio. Restrooms will be adequately supplied with soap and paper towels.
FAMILY MEMBERS MAY STAY TO OBSERVE CLASS
There will be marked areas for family groups as well as for individual adults who are staying to observe.
DANCERS WILL DISTANCE
The dance floor will be marked off into blocks so that the dancers can remain distanced from one another. We will design dances that can be done within the blocks, we will avoid partnering, and we will avoid using things that must be shared.
MASKS ARE WELCOME
Masks are welcome, but not mandatory.
SIGN A WAIVER
Parents will be required to sign a waiver stating that they understand the risks involved in attending dance classes even with social distancing and cleaning protocols in place.
